Here's exactly what I do: I cleanse, apply an exosome product from Plated, then tretinoin, then seal it in with a moisturizer. Twice a week I swap that moisturizer for an estrogen cream. That's it.
You can keep it even simpler: cleanse → tretinoin → moisturizer.
A few things to keep in mind:
• If you're younger, oily, or in a humid climate, you may not even need the moisturizer
• If you're 40+ or using tretinoin for anti-aging, your skin almost definitely needs that moisture layer after
• Think of it this way — let the prescription touch your skin first, then seal it in
And please stop layering AHAs, BHAs, and other exfoliants with your tretinoin. They either cancel each other out or backfire — and then you're not getting the full benefit of anything.
