Treatment stacking is everywhere on your feed, but dermatologists have been doing it for years. We just never had a cool name for it. In this episode, I sit down with my friend and fellow Mohs surgeon Dr. Sarah Arron to talk about what treatment stacking really is, what is smart to combine in one visit, and what you should never stack together.
We get into the three things a dermatologist looks at when planning a stack: structure, texture, and color. We also cover why the order of your treatments matters, why heat can shorten the life of your skin boosters, why a CO2 laser should stand alone, and how skin tone changes everything about your plan. Dr. Arron also shares her acne stack for scarring, and we talk about how to start slow if you are brand new to aesthetics.
If someone is pushing a big stack at you in a strip mall, this conversation will help you ask better questions before you say yes.
